One in Seven
“In a world of statistics,
our greatest fear is becoming one”
Staged with four actors, a table, and a selection of chairs, the text explores ideas of manipulation, betrayal, forgiveness, and what happens to a friendship and a family when a little boy gets sick. The epic nature of music theatre naturally delivers us a sense of otherness. This production attempts to activate the audience with the provocation of ‘What would you do in their shoes?’ Here is a musical that aims to be theatrically and aesthetically self-aware - While characters engage in the action within the play, they also speak to us directly throughout, reminding us to maintain an objective distance from this larger-than-life yet incredibly intimate story.
